Nina Sassano is a marine scientist, educator, and boat captain with the University of Georgia Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant.

Growing up along the beach of New Jersey, Nina has always been fascinated with marine life and ecosystems. She gets especially excited teaching and sharing new information with folks to help them learn and protect the coast. Nina especially loves the connection between communities and the environment and is pumped to be part of a team working to educate the public and restore reefs through shell recycling!
