Adrian Cato
Board Member
As a Floridian, Adrian was raised exploring the coastline where she fell in love with the sea and its creatures. She has worked as a farm educator, bike powered composter and environmental justice organizer, learning the importance of community-centered environmental work along the way.
Currently a PhD student in African American Studies, her research focuses on Black coastal legacies in the Southeastern US. Adrian has a bachelor’s degree in environmental science & policy with a focus in fisheries management and a master’s degree in marine affairs.
In her free time, she enjoys all things local food and is a farm steward at Unearthing Farm in Atlanta, Georgia.
